An Old Genealogical Inquiry Letter

Sorry for the lack of postings lately, I hope to have things slow down a bit here for the time being.  Let’s pick up with an interesting letter I have found for a request for Samuel Garfield’s Revolutionary War service records.  The letter was submitted by Ellery Irving Garfield, Samuel’s great grandson.  What is of great interest to me is the sword he mentions at the end of the letter having been passed through the family.  If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of the sword today, please let me know so I can try to arrange to obtain pictures and more history of the object.  I include Ellery’s obituary for more information as well.
